Slender Column Courtyard Fountain with a Lobed Bowl

The tallest and narrowest fountain in the collection, and the only one shown in an interior courtyard. A slim cylindrical shaft with a notably coarse open texture rises from a low circular basin and carries a shallow lobed bowl at chest height, with a single jet standing in its centre. There is almost no ornament: the appeal is the proportion and the raw surface of the stone against smooth plaster. Suited to interior courtyards, cloisters, narrow light wells and restoration projects where a wide fountain would not fit.
