Pillar Pool Fountain Lit at Dusk in a Stone Courtyard

The same family as our village pillar fountains, shown installed, running and lit. A square limestone pillar with a moulded cap and a ball finial stands on a stepped plinth, throwing four steady falls of water from wrought iron scroll spouts into a shallow octagonal pool. The pool floor is laid with river pebbles and lit from below, which at dusk pushes the warm ochre patina of the pillar forward against the paving. Proof that these fountains work as evening pieces. Suited to poolside settings, entertaining terraces and hospitality projects.
