APF 308 Three Tier Pool Fountain with Scallop Shells

The largest fountain in the collection and the most sculptural. Three carved tiers rise from a pedestal flanked by four deep scallop shells, through a gadrooned bowl and a fluted upper bowl, to a tightly carved finial. The circular basin is built from coursed limestone blocks laid like masonry, with carved rosette panels set into the wall and a heavy rolled coping. The stone has weathered unevenly, block by block, into greys, greens and warm ochre that only open air and standing water produce. Suited to estate gardens, hotel forecourts and large pool environments that need a genuine centrepiece.
