Rustic Block Basin Fountain with a Tapered Limestone Pillar

The most weathered basin in the collection. Its round wall is assembled from thick blocks left coarse on the face, each carrying a different load of green and ochre lichen so the ring reads as a mosaic of stone. From the centre a tall tapered pillar rises to a pyramidal cap, paler and more finely dressed than the basin around it, with two rusted iron scroll spouts and an iron tie frame across the water. The contrast between rough basin and clean pillar is the point. Suited to farmhouse courtyards, poolside settings and estate gardens.
