APF 328 Octagonal Pool Fountain with Four Iron Spouts

A village style pillar fountain, plainer and more useful than the tiered pieces. A square limestone pillar rises from the centre under a moulded band and a flat cap, carrying four rusted wrought iron spouts scrolled back on themselves, with the original iron tie bars still spanning the basin. The octagonal basin is cut in heavy blocks with a chamfered lower course. The stone is densely pitted and pale, the sort of open surface that only comes from long exposure. Suited to poolside settings, kitchen courtyards and Mediterranean style landscapes.
