APF 304 Two Tier Pool Fountain with an Urn Finial

The quietest of the tiered fountains, and the better for it. A plain baluster stem carries a shallow bowl rimmed with a simple egg and dart moulding, and above it stands a tall urn with a single carved palmette on its face and two small iron spouts at the shoulder. The circular basin is built from plain blocks with a full rolled profile and no carving at all, which lets the centrepiece read clearly. The limestone has weathered to an even pale buff. Suited to poolside settings, terraces and restrained contemporary gardens.
